Online retailer have cut the price of Xbox, over a week before the official price cut which takes place on April 26th.

However, they have also suspended all sales of the machine at full price, and have set a pre-order launch date of April 26th for the new bargain priced machines.

The Xbox console at 194.99, Xbox Mayhem Bundle and Xbox Adrenaline Bundle are both priced at 287.96, and come with two games an official controller and strategy guide - actually making Amazon's bundle cheaper than buying an Xbox full price, and then claiming the "thank you gift" from Microsoft.

It seems pretty likely that there will be a huge surge in demand now Microsoft have announced the price cut, and with Amazon's bundles being cheaper than the Xbox console was at launch, it seems that Amazon may have yet again cornered the market.

The retailer also have some of the best selling titles at cut down prices, including Jet Set Radio Future (37.99), F1 2002 (37.99), and Max Payne (39.99) - all prices and availability are subject to change, so get ordering now to avoid disappointment.

We'll be keeping a close eye on the new prices that retailers are charging, and will bring further news of other retailers price cuts as soon as they make details available.
