The biggest change in the action is that of the real-time 2D match which allows either the full 90 minute match to be watched from above, or simply the main highlights of the game such as goals, fouls and other important moments.

A number of other enhancements to the gameplay have been made, including real time tactical gameplay changes, and the possibility to manage the full training schedule of your team, and the exact specifics of what training is required.

Network games have also been overhauled due to an easier to use network set-up system, along with a fully skinable interface allowing for a personalised apperance to the game engine.

"Championship Manager 4 will be the closest anyone has ever got to replicating the job of a football manager, a job that every football fan out there would love to do." said Miles Jacobson, managing director of Sports Interactive as he pumped up a football.
