Nintendo have today announced that their Game Boy Advance SP has sold in excess of 1 million units across Europe since the launch back in March of this year, and that two new colours will soon be available to boost the appeal of the sleek pocket sized machine yet further.

The existing colour choices of Silver, Black and Blue which are already available, will be joined by an icy cool Arctic Blue, and fiery hot Flame Red in the UK and across Europe from October 24th, and retailing for about the same price as the other GBA SP's.

Improvements to the SP over the previous Game Boy Advance include a new smaller flip-top design which protects the screen, which itself is back-lit providing for more enjoyable gaming in both daylight and complete darkness. A rechargeable lithium battery also provides extended gameplay and saves having to waste money on endless supplies of AA batteries.

Further information about the Game Boy Advance SP can be found on the Nintendo Europe website.
