Ubi Soft have released new screenshots of their cel-shaded comic book style first person shooter title XIII, at the E3 Expo in Los Angeles.

XIII's novel graphical style will see flashback graphics and pop-up boxes appearing on screen, along with textual representations of explosions and shouts of pain from soldiers as they get shot, not to mention the "tap tap tap" sixth sense which gives warning of approaching enemies.

Further variety comes in the form of the weapons, as you're not just limited to the standard array of guns - in XIII you'll be able to throw objects like chairs, bottles and ashtrays - even the enemy soldiers' bodies.

Several multiplayer modes will feature in XIII complimenting the single player missions, including the cooperative "Cover Me", along with Capture the Flag and Deathmatch - Xbox Live gamers will get to play with or against three other people via the broadband gaming network.

XIII is due for release on the Xbox, PS2, Gamecube and PC this September.
