Microsoft have revealed the full details for their Xbox Music Mixer, which provides a karaoke and digital entertainment service for the Xbox games console.

Using the Music Mixer, gamers will get to mix, match, shuffle and customise soundtracks - interactive 2D and 3D on-screen visualisations can be added to the mix to provide a range of moods and styles.

Microsoft's J Allard said "Music Mixer demonstrates how we can use the Xbox to connect gamers to other favorite activities of the Digital Entertainment Lifestyle, enabling players to access DVD playback, CD playback, photo viewing, gaming, music storage, online gameplay, enhanced party visualisers and even karaoke".

Music Mixer is expected to be released in America in time for Christmas, priced at about $39.99 (about 30). European pricing and availability has not been announced, although we hope to find out more about the service later this week.
