Microsoft have announced their latest publishing partner, in the form of Square Enix, who will bring Final Fantasy XI Online to the Xbox 360.
The announcement came during their pre-E3 conference at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, and was followed by a short video showing an example of the graphics and environments which are planned to be used in the game.
"The Xbox 360 provides a powerful platform from which gamers can be immersed in the spell-binding Final Fantasy XI story that comes to life through collaborative online game play" said Yoichi Wada, president of Square Enix.
Final Fantasy XI will offer cross-platform gaming, allowing players to take part in the action on the same servers as over half a million other players which have already joined the online game since it was first released in Japan during 2002.
