CMP Media have just announced that their annual trade event ECTS 2002 is set to return to Earls Court in Central London, after it's move last year which saw the show held at ExCeL in London's Docklands.
The move back to the home of ECTS, is also seeing a change in date, to Thursday 29th until Saturday 31st August, instead of the early September date that was originally planned.
Moving to Earls Court though is likely to prove popular with exhibitors, who for some reason didn't like the idea of travelling out to the wild East of London, and will see the return of Sony to this years event.
Andy Lane, ECTS Event Director, told us "The move to Earl's Court provides us with the perfect stage to host both consumer and trade elements of the show" - let's hope Earls Court has air conditioning, and also that mobiles can get a signal!
For the first time ever, a special consumer hall will be available to the public, and is being sponsored by Sony Computer Entertainment.
"Our involvement at ECTS makes for a great combination for consumers, the media and the trade, but also provides a backdrop for all of PlayStation's European territories to convey the excitement of our software" said Ray Maguire, MD of Sony Computer Entertainment UK.
GamesPaper will be reporting live from the show from Day 1 of the event, and will bring further details nearer the time.
