LucasArts have today announced that development of Full Throttle: Hell on Wheels has been cancelled.

A short statement on the companies website reads "We do not want to disappoint the many fans of Full Throttle" says Simon Jeffery, president of LucasArts, "and hope everyone can understand how committed we are to delivering the best quality gaming experience that we possibly can".

The game was ment to be a sequel to the popular Full Throttle title, where you were to be the leader of biker gang, and take part in a mixture of bike races, puzzles and combat using items which are in the various dubious locations that the biker gangs hang out at.

Full Throttle: Hell on Wheels was due for release on the PC, Xbox and PlayStation 2 before the end of the year, but now presumably will never see a release.
