Sony have announced that they're inviting gamers to come up with ideas for a new mini-game to be used EyeToy: Play 2 - their sequel to what was undoubtedly one of the biggest hits of 2003.

Each game design submitted will be judged by the designers who worked on the original EyeToy games at Sony's London Studios, and one lucky winner will see their creation transformed in to a real game which will be used in EyeToy: Play 2, whilst also walking away with a bundle of Sony prizes including an LCD TV and home cinema system, whilst ten runners up will get the new EyeToy: Groove game.

The competition requires entrants to download a design template from the competition page, and think up an original and innovative game idea, before emailing or posting the entry off for judging before January 6th 2004. The winner will also be invited to visit the London Studios to see the game being developed, before EyeToy Play: 2 gets released just before Christmas 2004.

Further details about the competition, and how to take part are available by clicking on the Design a game for EyeToy: Play 2 link on the website.
