Digital Jesters have announced that they'll be fighting-them-on-the-beaches with a new realtime strategy title called D-Day.

The timing of the announcement is somewhat topical with the 60th anniversary of the D-Day landings taking place this weekend, and so accurate are the battles that it's said to be the only game to be approved by the "Normandie Memoire" association.

Every event in D-Day is promised to be historically accurate, with the rugged terrain, weapons, and missions briefings all exactly the same as soldiers would have experienced "during the war" back in 1944.

D-Day is expected to land during August priced at 29.99 on the PC, and further information about the game is available from the official website.
