Nintendo have confirmed that the Japanese launch date of their GameCube console has been rescheduled to September 14.
They are denying that it's a "delay" and more that it's just to make sure that it's all right and ready for the launch.
Possible reasons for the slippage in launch date have been sighted as a shortage of supplies on key components, but this hasn't been officially confirmed.
The US launch is still scheduled to ship before Christmas, and Europe has to wait all the way through until next spring for the machine to arrive.
E3 should provide a few telling signs of what the industry thinks of the new console, and the news that it's had the Japanese launch delayed - we'll bring you the full coverage from May 17th.
