Nintendo's ultra cool looking Game Boy Advance SP hit the shelves of stores in Japan over the weekend, and initial sales seem to show that it's proving very popular.

"As we anticipated, the reception the new GBA SP has received in Japan is fantastic. The stylish pocket-sized design, the front lit screen and rechargeable battery ensure the ultimate playing experience for gamers on the go" said Nintendo's David Gosen.

We've got just over a month to wait for the release of the GBA SP in the UK, and we'll bring further news on the run up to the European release on March 28th.
