Flight Simulator specialist Lago have announced that they are to expand in to a new area of simulations, in the form of Formula One racing.

Grand Prix Simulator will see PC gamers competing in an F1 season which can be played online against 22 other players, and is being developed by the same company who made Atari's recent Racing Evoluzione.

Not only will action be based around a set of pre-defined tracks, but there will also be a complete editing suite allowing you to create your own Formula 1 cars and tracks, with physics based on computer simulations of the real mechanics models, and accurate changes which can be implemented by using the real time telemetry system.

"Lago is established in the flight simulation market, but recently we decided to use our know-how and our expertise to expand our range of products. We believe that Grand Prix Simulator will prove popular with both Formula 1 and racing game fans" said Lago's Luisa Bixio.

Grand Prix Simulator is due for release in the autumn, and we hope to bring a full review of the title later this year.
