Viewers of MTV are set to receive an exclusive sneak peak at the next-generation Xbox console and games, with the first showing taking place on May 12th in North America.
Microsoft's plans for the next Xbox will be revealed during a 30 minute show, with details of the "always connected, always personalised and always in high definition" vision which are key to the forthcoming machine. A number of first glimpses at brand new titles and the future of Xbox Live will feature in the programme, alongside a performance by LA-based The Killers.
Viewers in the UK will be able to see "MTV Presents: The Next Generation Xbox Revealed" a day later on Friday May 13th at 8pm, and extra details about the machine along with photos and behind-the-scenes video will be available from the MTV website at the same time.

Speed boost for British gamers
Internet service providers across the UK have been increasing connection speeds rapidly over the past few months, with new higher speed 8Mbps products from BT Total Broadband and other major ADSL providers.
The new faster speeds are already being offered in some parts of the country, where operator UK Online are providing a Home 22Mbps service over selected BT telephone lines in major urban areas.
Meanwhile gamers living in Telewest and NTL cabled areas can now receive up to 10Mbps download speeds on the top consumer package.
