Nokia's N-Gage hardware has been dropped by a leading online retailer, in a move which could signal a beginning of the end for the format.

Amazon.co.uk were listing both the original N-Gage and the N-Gage QD in both Coal and Orange designs up until recently, but now all hardware has been pulled from their online catalogue with only a number of game titles still being listed.

The retailer was one of the first to start a pre-order scheme for the mobile games device back in May of this year, where the QD was priced at around 100 less than the original N-Gage handset, which was released globally just over a year ago.
