The machine will have a retail price of 149 Euros (approximately £99), and games are set to be priced at around £29 each, although some titles may be cheaper at around £19 depending on the title.

Launch games include Super Mario 64 DS, WarioWare Touched!, Pokémon Dash and Polarium from Nintendo, whilst third-party support will see Tiger Woods PGA Tour, The URBZ: Sims in the City, Spider-Man 2, Project Rub, Mr Driller: Drill Spirits, Rayman DS, Asphalt Urban GT, Zoo Keeper, Ping Pals and Robots all boosting the line-up.

Ubisoft's Sprung: The Dating Game will also be available at release, although only in the UK, Netherlands and Scandinavia, with the rest of Europe missing out on the title.

Communication software Picochat will be included, giving the ability to transmit messages and drawings to other DS machines up to 100 feet away, whilst a demo of the forthcoming Metroid Prime Hunters: First Hunt will also feature as part of the European launch package.

Update: The Nintendo DS is now available to pre-order from Amazon.co.uk.
