Perspex Cubes are coming to Europe, to promote the launch of Gamecube, although before you rush to Amazon to order a see-through Gamecube, you'll want to know that they're actually huge 7 foot cubes - placed out in the street.
Nintendo will place three giant perspex cubes, one outside each of HMV in Covent Garden, London (Kings Street), HMV in Birmingham (Pavilion Centre), and HMV in Glasgow (Argyle Street), as part of the huge marketing push before Gamecube launches on May 3rd.
Each of the cubes will feature entertainment including kitsch dancers, contortionists and magicians, along with more lively crowd pullers such as aerobics and Tai Chi. Artists will also be creating art, live inside the cube, and is said to reflect Nintendo's aim of "entertaining all those who love interactive gaming".
If you live in London, Birmingham or Glasgow, then make sure you get a look at your local cube, which will be there from Friday April 26th to Thursday May 2nd, and will no doubt cause more than a few people to turn their heads and look to see what's going on.
Earlier today Nintendo announced that the launch price of the Gamecube was to be cut from £169 to only £129, providing a positively bargain priced console, which launches with approximately 20 top titles, including Luigi's Mansion, and Super Monkey Ball.

Speed boost for British gamers
Internet service providers across the UK have been increasing connection speeds rapidly over the past few months, with new higher speed 8Mbps products from BT Total Broadband and other major ADSL providers.
The new faster speeds are already being offered in some parts of the country, where operator UK Online are providing a Home 22Mbps service over selected BT telephone lines in major urban areas.
Meanwhile gamers living in Telewest and NTL cabled areas can now receive up to 10Mbps download speeds on the top consumer package.
