Microsoft have set November 7th as the British release date for their Xbox 360 HD-DVD drive accessory during their X06 media event in Barcelona, and reaffirmed support for full 1080p output.

The reasonably priced £129.99 package will include an Xbox 360 Universal Remote worth £20, and a copy of Peter Jackson’s King King on HD DVD to help kick start your next generation DVD collection.

Full 1080p HDTV support - for both games and films - was re-confirmed by Microsoft, with the promise that titles would natively support the higher resolution with simply a firmware update over Xbox Live being required for the console to deliver the higher spec visuals.
