The arrival of an expansion pack that every RCT3 fan will surely want to 'splash out' for when it's released later this month has got a step closer, with Atari announcing that Soaked has gone gold.

New features in the RollerCoaster Tycoon 3: Soaked expansion are numerous and mainly revolve around a waterpark theme, with water slides, wave pools, swimming pool and waterfall designers, and an enhanced MixMaster which now gives control over new laser light and watershows in addition to the fireworks.

Over 50 totally new rides and coasters also feature in the add-on pack, which from the screenshots that we've seen so far include an upgraded River Rapids, which is one key ride GamesPaper is pleased to see and was the only real dissapointment when we reviewed RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 at launch.

Tunnels will also make a comeback in Soaked, adding a much-missed feature which was taken out for the original release due to the change to 3D, and you can also build complete swimmingpool complexes with large glass roofs which span across the top, much in the style of a biosphere dome or Center Parcs.

RollerCoaster Tycoon 3: Soaked expansion pack is due for release on June 24th, and we'll hopefully have a review just as soon as we've toweled off.
