Sega have announced that they've secured the publishing rights to Warhammer Online for the PC.

Warhammer Online will feature massively multiplayer online gaming, allowing players to take on the role of outlaws and mercenary adventurers within the dark and often gothic world of Warhammer - without getting the dining room table covered in assorted paints
and glues.

Sega Europe's Marketing Director Matthew Woodley, commented "the combining of Games Workshop's Warhammer universe and cutting-edge technology and game design is proving to be something genuinely breathtaking. Watching this game in development has been enthralling. Sega is delighted to be involved in this project and we're looking forward to a ground-breaking game".

Warhammer Online is due for release in Spring 2004, and will be on show at the E3 Expo in Los Angeles this week - we'll keep you updated with any details about the game, as soon as they're announced.
