Two development studios have been snapped by up Sega, with football management giant Sports Interactive and San Francisco based developer Secret Level now under Sega's wing.

Sports Interactive will need no introduction to British gamers, who will know them well for their hugely popular Eidos-published Championship Manager series and more recently their Football Manager titles which have been published by Sega.

Americas Army: Rise of a Soldier, Magic: The Gathering Battlegrounds and Star Wars Jedi Starfighter are just some of the titles which Sega's second signing Secret Level have been responsible for in recent years, with both developers said to be a key part of Sega's aim of "rebalancing its development strategy to be more Western focused" according to Sega's CEO Naoya Tsurumi.
