The Independent Television Commission have banned an advert for the Xbox, after a number of complaints from viewers.

Microsoft's advert, called Champagne, features a baby being born, flying through a window, and ending up in a grave. The ITC recieved just over 130 complaints people, who said that they felt it was "shocking and offensive".

Part of Microsoft's "play more" campaign, the advert was ment to show that "Life is short. Play more", which Microsoft considered to be a "positive statement about life", and far from offensive.

However the ITC had differing views, claiming that due to the screams during the advert, it was showing a "traumatic experience, which, together with the reminder that life is short, made the final scene more shocking".

The advert has been pulled from television, but will still be shown in cinemas and on the internet.
