Sega have announced The Tower SP for the Game Boy Advance, which gives you full control over the development of a towerblock, complete with shops, offices, hotel rooms, apartments and condo's. Yes, you'd be forgiven for thinking a game like this has existed before...

The announcement from Sega makes absolutely no reference to the Maxis published Sim Tower, nor of the Sega published (and nowhere near as well known) Yoot Tower which was launched in Japan in the late 90's as a follow up to the original game.

As with Sim Tower you'll have to place offices, restaurants, shops, hotel cleaning rooms, and plan the best locations for lifts to save long queues forming on some of the busier floors as the residents and visitors try and get on with their busy virtual lives.

The final "reward" is receiving the five-star Tower status, although in the process of doing so a number of events such as fires, burglaries and cockroach infestations will strike the tower, causing occupants to panic and complain, and you having to do something about it - and quickly.

Whilst no European release date has been confirmed yet, The Tower SP is due for its American grand-opening on the Game Boy Advance SP in March 2006.
