Sega have announced the release date for the eagerly awaited follow up to their Sonic Adventure title.. Sonic Adventure 2 for the Dreamcast.
The date has been set as June 23rd - prehaps more interesting though is the fact that the title is down for release in both Japan and America on the same date.. A global release of the title, instead of Europe getting a game several months later once the rest of the world has already played it a thousand times over.
What could make this even better news for gamers is that it's a day after the UK launch of the Gameboy Advance, and two weeks before Crazy Taxi 2 get's it's release for the DC - expect to see your local games shops very busy!

Speed boost for British gamers
Internet service providers across the UK have been increasing connection speeds rapidly over the past few months, with new higher speed 8Mbps products from BT Total Broadband and other major ADSL providers.
The new faster speeds are already being offered in some parts of the country, where operator UK Online are providing a Home 22Mbps service over selected BT telephone lines in major urban areas.
Meanwhile gamers living in Telewest and NTL cabled areas can now receive up to 10Mbps download speeds on the top consumer package.
