Sega of America are set to release a Sonic Mega Collection Plus compilation disc on the Xbox later this year, featuring twenty games for under $20.

Some twenty Sonic games will be crammed on the bumper disc, including Mega Drive titles Sonic The Hedgehog, Sonic The Hedgehog 2, Sonic The Hedgehog 3, Sonic & Knuckles, and Sonic 3D Blast from the Saturn.

Game Gear titles will also be represented with the original Sonic The Hedgehog, Sonic Chaos, Sonic Drift and Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine making up just a handful of the games. Sadly however it'd appear that Sonic CD won't be making an apperance, as it's believed to be harder to emulate on the Xbox hardware.

No European release has been confirmed as yet, but it'd easily prove a huge hit with gamers both those who remember Sonic the first time around, and newer gamers who didn't get a chance of experience how Sonic changed gaming - we'd be hugely suprised if Sega Europe don't announce a similar Sonic compilation before Christmas.
