Retailers are reporting good sales of Xbox Live since it went on sale across Europe last Friday.

The Starter Kit, which includes everything you need to get online with the Xbox broadband gaming network, went on sale in the UK and several countries across Europe on March 14th after an open public beta test which had been running since late last year.

Online retailer Amazon are awaiting fresh supplies after they cleared all of their stock, and retailers which we checked over the weekend only had one or two kits left in stock.

An interesting change on Microsoft's Xbox Live site now suggests that the UK Starter Kit comes with three demo online games instead of two, seeing MechAssult added to the list which originally included just MotoGP and Whacked. Other items inside the kit include the Communicator Headset, 12 month subscription code, and the starter disk containing the update for the Xbox's dashboard.
