THQ have announced that they are to publish 15 titles for Nintendo's GameCube, during 2002.

"THQ is extremely excited about Nintendo GameCube and the impact it will have on the videogame business," said Brian Farrell, president and CEO of THQ. "As a top third-party supporter of Nintendo's last console system, THQ looks forward to bringing its world class development talent and exclusive franchises to the next generation of Nintendo consoles."

The initial lineup of games heading towards the GameCube from THQ include:

  • MX 2003 featuring Ricky Carmichael: Experience the thrills of motocross, with professional riders and authentic courses modeled using satellite data.
  • WWF Wrestlemania: Following on in the success of previous WWF titles by THQ, the licence is set to bring all the big names and crunching moves from the world of Wrestlemania.
  • Jimmy Neutron, Boy Genius: Hang out with Jimmy, his robot dog Goddard, and his best friend Carl Wheezer in this game based on the star of Nickelodeon's upcoming digitally animated motion picture.
  • Rugrats: Rugrats has been an enormous success, both on TV and as games, with more than four million games sold since 1998. Rugrats will be crawling onto your GameCube in time for Christmas 2002.
  • SpongeBob SquarePants: Rated as the number 2 show on American kids TV, SpongeBob SquarePants follows the sea-riffic adventures of SpongeBob abd his friends.
  • Rocket Power: The Rocket Power gang will be making their way onto the cube from the Nickelodeon show where they have more than 33 million viewers per month.
  • Tetris Worlds: A next generation version of what must surely be one of the best known computer games ever. The game will feature both traditional and new variations of gameplay, and is due for release early in 2002.
  • Scooby-Doo: Join Scooby and the gang in mystery-solving action with an interactive adventure.
