Codemasters have confirmed that ToCA Race Driver will be getting an Xbox release, and that it's due for next March.

A number of enhancements are being made to the game for the Xbox version of the title, including a qualifying round before championship races, and also a 'Shoot out' qualification system for races taking place in Australia's championship.

There will also be six more cars on the track all competing for the podium positions, offering much more intense gameplay than the PS2 version of the game.

Other improvements are said to include greater draw distances, increased texture size, greater colour depth and detailing, such as fully modelled wheels, and more dramatic particle effects, all thanks to the extra processing power that the Xbox can deliver.

Xbox owners should get a chance to "lap up" ToCA Race Driver from March 2003.
