Microsoft have today announced a special Xbox offer in the United States, which sees not only the console but also games and Xbox Live all bundled in one box.

The pack will feature LucasArts' Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Xbox Live enabled Tetris Worlds Live from THQ, and two months access to the Xbox Live broadband gaming network.

"By offering Xbox with two super-premium games and a trial Xbox Live subscription, we're giving consumers an easy and affordable way to bring the complete Xbox entertainment experience into their homes this holiday" said Mitch Koch of Microsoft.

An official launch date for the holiday promotional packs has been set for October 15th, but Microsoft say that a number of retailers are going to offer the bundle from September 17th, priced at $179.99 (about 140).

It's highly likely that a price cut of similar Christmas bundle will be announced for the UK and rest of Europe tomorrow when Microsoft hold their X03 event in the South of France, with some rumours suggesting a new 99 price for the console on it's own.
