Ubi Soft have revealed the first screens of Splinter Cell, which is a third person stealth action game, with a strong global espionage plot.

Developed by Ubi Soft's Montreal Studio in Canada, Splinter Cell will feature cyber-terrorism, shadow agencies, and covert operations, all taking place in realistic top security agency offices and compounds.

You'll get to play as Sam Fisher, who is part of the black-ops NSA sub-agency Third Echelon, and will have to seize intelligence, and find your way in to top security areas to neutralise the enemy, without anyone being able to trace it back to you.

Splinter Cell is due to be in action at the forthcoming E3 expo, with a PC and Xbox release due this Autumn, and other next-gen platforms following in 2003.
