Ubi Soft Entertainment announced at E3 that they have acquired the license from Sony Pictures Consumer Products to develop games based on Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon.

The film follows the story of two Chinese warriors battle both internal demons and external enemies with incredible martial arts tactics combining electrifying fight sequences, acrobatic action, and eye-catching flight choreography, in the battle to save the spirit and righteousness of a young warrior princess and find one another again. The movie received 10 Oscar nominations and four awards last year, including best foreign language film.

Using new technologies and a team of highly graphic and design experts, Ubi Soft will ensure that the games include the same mindblowing special effects that thrilled moviegoers around the world and left fans wanting more.

Yves Guillemot, President and CEO, Ubi Soft Entertainment declared "Bringing Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon to the gaming audience is an incredible opportunity for Ubi Soft. With this amazingly successful film, we have the ability to tell stories that are not only technically rich and challenging, but are also extremely plot-driven. Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon is expected to debut on PlayStation 2, PC, GameCube, Game Boy Advance and Xbox from Spring of 2002.
