It appears that a special Christmas Xbox bundle may well have been announced during the X03 event earlier this week - but only to a select few retailers.
Microsoft have reportedly told a number of leading retailers that a £149 bundle will go on sale at the start of October, featuring the Xbox console, a copy of Halo and Midtown Madness 3, and two months free subscription to the Xbox Live broadband gaming network.
It's far from the price cut to under £100 which many were expecting, but is very similar to the American bundle announced at the start of the week, which saw Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Tetris Worlds Live bundled with the console, along with free Xbox Live access.
We'll try and get confirmation of this announcement directly from Microsoft, and will bring full details of any price cuts which are announced, here on GamesPaper.
