Microsoft have announced that Japan will be getting limited edition consoles for the launch, in a clear greenish-black translucent casing.

Some 50,000 units will be made available to commemorate the launch. Quite oddly, Microsoft are also including a silver-plated key chain with the serial number engraved in to it, with each machine, with Bill Gate's signature on it.

Japanese gamers will be able to get their hands on the Xbox from February 22nd, just over a month before the UK, priced at 34,800 yen (that's about 200) and will see 12 titles at launch, including Jet Set Radio Future, Project Gotham Racing, Dead of Alive 3, Silent Hill 2, and Air Force Delta II, with at least ten more titles are expected to follow by the end of March.
